Stone Brewing Co. Comes to Virginia


Company Chooses Richmond Over 40 Sites Across the East Coast


Virginia’s craft beer industry received more exciting news when Stone Brewing Co. announced Richmond, Va., would be the home of the company’s East Coast brewery, packaging facility, farm-to-table restaurant and retail store. Richmond was selected over 40 sites across 20 states. The $74 million investment will bring 288 new jobs to the region.

Stone Brewing Co. sold its first keg in 1996, and has since grown to become the ninth largest craft brewer in the U.S. Known for its high quality and big flavors, the company has been named the "All-time Top Brewery on Plant Earth" by BeerAdvocate magazine twice and been listed on the Inc. 500|5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list 10 times.
